Healing through the process of creating art
Art therapy uses the creative process of artistic self-expression via techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, coloring, or sculpting to enhance physical, mental and emotional well-being. This form of expressive therapy helps clients express themselves and examine the psychological and emotional undertones in their art.
"Art is our one true global language. It knows no nation, it favors no race, and it acknowledges no class. It speaks to our need to reveal, heal, and transform. It transcends our ordinary lives and lets us imagine what is possible."

Why art therapy?
Using art as a part of therapeutic work can allow us access to our inner feelings and experiences that can be at times, difficult to understand. Creative expression is a way of getting past our verbal limitations and tapping into the deeper well of our emotions. No artistic talent is necessary for art therapy to be successful as the therapeutic process is not about the artistic value of the work, but rather about finding associations between the creative choices made and a person’s inner life.
Who can use this form of therapy?
Art therapy is a form of therapy that allows anyone to use the visual arts as a means of communication and self-expression. Unlike other forms of communication that rely heavily on words or language, art therapy enables people to communicate through various art forms. .
